Chance To Help

In October we were privileged to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness month with Sheri Easter and honor her for being 5 years cancer free. This Friday night at the Gospel Show we will be addressing the opposite side of that fight for a young mother from our area.
Amanda Dalton is 31 and a mother of three. She was diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, an aggressive and hard to treat form of breast cancer. Despite chemo and surgery, a second, then a third tumor appeared. After many battles throughout 2012 and 2013, Amanda was having severe  pain in her arm, upper chest, and back and was admitted to the hospital on March 24, 2014. On March 28th they told her that her cancer had metastasized and that her spine, trachea, and brachial plexus is encased. She is at home now but the doctors have said they have done all they can do.
Amanda's husband is working two minimum wage jobs and they have been driving from Greenville to Dallas for all of Amanda's medical treatment and trying to take care of their kids and Amanda's medicine which costs $1000 per month. Their children are Gavin-age 8, Cassidy-age 5, and Sawyer-age 4.
This Friday night at the April Gospel show we are requesting anyone who can to bring non-perishable food, clothes for the kids, or any monetary donations you can to help this family.
While it is always great to know of the heroes who are survivors, we all also need to know the heroes who are fighting the battles with breast cancer each day and could use some hope. Let's show this very special family the hope of Jesus Christ.
We will be posting this message with details of the kids clothing sizes on our Rodeo City Gospel Show News blog.  There is also a Facebook page "Arms Around Amanda".
You can also call Joe at 214-537-2097. See you on Friday at First Baptist Church of Meadowview.

The information on the children is as follows:

Gavin wears a size 8. He loves Transformers, Legos, Puzzles, Board games, and cars
Cassidy wears a size 4T pants and pajama's, and a 4/5 small in tops and dresses in girls. She loves horses, princess stuff and Barbie dolls, Hello Kitty, butterflies, anything girly
Sawyer is all boy. He wears 3T/4T pants and 5T or 4/5 small boys. He loves guns and cars.

Remember dad is working two jobs and mom can't work so these kids have very little.

We will have some pictures for you of the kids before Friday.

Thank you to each one of you in advance.

Also, if you need to drop stuff off on Sunday at our Bethel Baptist event, that would be great. Let's work together to bless this family.

We are here and are here to stay!

As many of you know, Rodeo City Music Hall was bought at the beginning of the year by The Gathering Church. Because of the many renovations they need to do to get the building up to city code, they were forced to close for renovations. That left us temporarily displaced. NOT ANYMORE!

Pastor Jack, Pastor Wade, and the members of First Baptist Church of Meadowview are welcoming all of us into their church until the renovations at the Music Hall are complete. We want to thank them so very much for their desire to support Gospel music and specifically the First Friday Gospel Show.

Now it is your turn. We want you to help us make history. We want a record-breaking crowd on the March 7 show. Let's show our special guests that night (New Day and Broken Vessels) how special each and every one of you are. We need you to help us spread the word-the new temporary home of the First Friday Rodeo City Gospel Show is at Meadowview Baptist Church, The address is 4346 N. Galloway Avenue in Mesquite. It is right at the corner of Barnes Bridge and Galloway Avenue, just off of I-30.

Rest assured we will be back at Rodeo City when it is ready for us to return. Until then we want every single one of you to make a point of joining us for our shows at First Baptist Meadowview.

On a side note Karen Hunt, one of our regular audience members has a request. Karen sits in the 4th row every month. In January someone sitting next to her mistakenly took her black leather jacket thinking it was theirs. If you by chance were the one that was there or know who it was, please contact us to make arrangements to trade jackets with her. She really wants it back.

Let's make this the biggest month in the Gospel Show's history!

God Bless,
Ransomed
